Drilling, thread cutting, deburring - without changing tools
With the new ULTIMATECUT combi machine tap, users have a tool that significantly shortens work processes and makes them more profitable.
The all-new combi machine tap developed by the engineers from Holzgerlingen, Germany enables three applications - namely drilling, tapping and subsequent deburring - in just one single operation. Translated into everyday working life, this means maximum efficiency without time-consuming tool changes and at the same time maximum flexibility thanks to the possibility of use both in pillar drills and with hand-held cordless drill drivers.
The innovative FLOWSTEP® tip simplifies the first work step, core hole drilling. Designed like a classic step drill, it is used to cut the various diameters step by step up to the final diameter. The advantages: no slipping and precise, pinpoint positioning. The specially developed relief grinding guarantees a seamless and controlled transition to the subsequent steps, resulting in a smooth, energy-saving drilling process that is controlled at every stage.
Immediately afterwards, and without changing from drilling tool to thread cutter, the thread is cut and, as a final operation, deburred or countersunk, with the thread also being cleaned during the return run.
Based on internally measured times in the application tests, RUKO promises time savings of up to 20 % in professional applications compared to the conventional work process to date.
Similar to almost all tools in the UITMATECUT line, RUKO's proprietary RUnaTEC coating guarantees a doubling of tool life and even simpler and more energy-saving machining of even demanding materials.
"With our new combi machine tap, we are expanding our portfolio with a tool that impresses with both efficiency and versatility. It is the ideal solution for professional users who need an extremely high-quality, durable and fast tool for their daily work," says Rolf Herzog, Head of Marketing and Product Management at RUKO.
Made from high-speed steel (HSS), sheet metal and metal plates between five and ten millimeters (maximum material thickness of 1 x M (e.g. M10 = 10 mm material thickness), with metric thread sizes of three to ten can be machined.
Thanks to the bit shank (¼-inch hex shank) with its six surfaces, optimum power transmission is achieved without slipping in the drill chuck. The quick insertion in the drill chuck increases the efficiency of the work and is compatible with all hand and pillar drills with 3-jaw chucks and all standard bit holders.
The combi machine tap is available as a single product or as a set - uncoated or finished with the RUnaTEC coating.
