With three cutting edges and an impressive performance. The key feature is an optimized and improved cutting edge geometry, which contributes to significantly reduced axial and radial forces during the countersinking process.
The variable relief angle guarantees an exceptionally smooth countersinking process and a resulting round and scratch-free surface.
Another key feature is the chip clearance parameters: From the chip angle, through the transition radii, to the extra-wide chip flutes, these work together to ensure optimal chip and heat evacuation, thereby contributing to very high wear resistance with significantly improved tool life.
In addition, the new geometry counteracts material welding, which reduces countersinking forces and allows the countersinking process to be carried out with significantly less feed force.
Depending on the materials, it is possible to work at either very high or very low cutting speeds without adversely affecting the quality of the countersinking result.
