RUKO develops next generation of step drillsJuly 10, 2018
RUKO GmbH Präzisionswerkzeuge has developed a next generation of step drills with innovative cutting edge geometry with which users can drill significantly smoother and faster. With it, the specialist for precision tools sets new standards in metal cutting. The new step drills will be available from specialist dealers starting July 2018.
The new point cut makes it easy for users to center and drill on the workpiece. The optimized helix angle also significantly reduces the feed forces – it makes drilling much faster this way.
In addition, the specially developed chip space geometry ensures ideal chip and heat removal. This reduces the formation of built-up edges and cold welds on the cutting edges. This results in less heat, so that the service life of the step drill can be increased fourfold.
Managing Director Ali Dalgic is convinced: "Our next generation of step drills represents a quantum leap for users: The drills are smoother, faster and at the same time offer the best performance in almost all materials. A great achievement of our developers - and I am proud that the new RUKO step drill is now available."
The step drill achieves best results not only in sheet metal, steel and stainless steel, but also in Plexiglas and wood. It is ideally suited for guided drilling units and hand drills.
With the next generation of step drills RUKO continues to produce high quality from its own production in Germany and thus provides professional users from the industry and trade with a powerful tool.
